What’s the difference between HSS and (T)CT saw blades?

  1. What’s the difference between HSS and (T)CT saw blades?

The most common types of circular saw blades are HSS, made of high-speed steel, and (Tungsten) Carbide Tipped, with very hard metal (HM) tooth tips.
  2. The advantage of HSS blades (1) is that they make a very clean cut.
  3. Carbide Tipped blades (2) give a good cutting result and stay sharp up to 5 times as long.
