How to prevent deep scratches and grooves?

  1. How to prevent deep scratches and grooves?

Their high belt speed makes belt sanders very suitable for quickly removing material. However, the high speed does mean the sander tends to dig into the workpiece. This increases the probability of scratches or deep grooves in the material. Fortunately, there’s a solution to this problem. Attaching a sanding frame to the belt sander ensures it remains flat on the workpiece. That prevents the belt sander from digging into the workpiece and ensures good sanding results, even when you remove old paint and lacquer layers.

The SKIL belt sander comes with the 'Equalizer' sanding frame. Its unique design makes it easy to attach. And there’s no need to remove the sanding frame when you want to change the sanding belt.
