Candles create a warm atmosphere in your home, and even add a dash of romance. This simple step-by-step shows you how to make a modern tealight holder with matches also close at hand.
  1. Step 1: Saw two 53x200 mm pieces and one 53x160 mm piece from the plywood board.
  2. Step 2: Mark out three circles on one of the 53x200 mm pieces for the tealights and drill the holes using the spade bit.
  3. Step 3: Glue the 53x160 mm board to the 53x200 mm board without any holes. Glue the board with holes on top. Fix with wood glue and leave to dry.
  4. Step 4: Gently sand the whole piece down.
  5. Step 5: Paint in the desired colour and leave to dry.
  6. Step 6: Insert and light the candles, slide in the matchbox and enjoy.
